About Us
The TCCA is a nonprofit charitable community association established in 1983 with to promote the physical and social well-being of residents in the Tidnish area.
We support a number of social, cultural, sporting, and recreational groups. We also have facilities available for use by area residents including the Rodney Estabrook ball field, a children’s playground, a canteen, and the Tidnish Community Centre located at 4358 Highway 366 in Tidnish – near ‘the crossroads’. Regular activities at the Centre include: exercise classes, yoga, music nights, darts, cribbage, Tai Chi and youth programs. The Tidnish Festival is held each summer; activities include a bake sale, ball games, washer toss, a pork chop barbecue dinner, children’s games, music by local groups, and a Saturday night dance. |
The Association gives a bursary each year to a local student pursuing higher education, supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association with an annual donation, and gives the Association use of the Hall and Ball Field for its annual baseball tournament. It also owns a building, housing the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery (3654 Tidnish Bridge, NS) located at the intersection of NS 366 and NB 970 – close to the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick provincial border.
