The TCCA is a non-profit charitable community association established in 1983 to promote the physical and social well-being of residents in the Tidnish area.
The TCCA Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 pm. There were 24 members in attendance! Minutes will be posted on the Board of Directors page shortly.
Three new directors were elected: Abby Beal, Mike Roberts and Cora Lee Godwin.
Rod Gilroy received the Volunteer of the Year award.
The Tidnish Cross Roads Community Association is
holding a Father’s Day Breakfast Sunday June 15th from
8AM to 10:30 AM at the Community Centre in Tidnish
Cross Roads.
Menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled
eggs, home made baked beans, roasted potatoes, tea,
coffee, juice.
Price: Good Will Offering. Proceeds go to funding the
Tidnish Cross Roads and Area Association’s Activities.
One-hour fitness classes run every Monday and Thursday at 8:30am, at the Hall. These classes are led by volunteers Andrea Chappell, and Marcella Andres - both certified instructors with the N.S.F.A. We're also welcoming back Heather McClinton!
There are a range of exercises for cardio, strength, and flexibility, all good for your heart, lungs, movement and spirits! 🫀🫁🧠🚶♀️
We mix it up in classes with weights, bands, fitness balls, chairs and mats.
Everyone is welcome, and we encourage working at your own level and pace, giving alternatives and options to accommodate your needs. It's a welcoming and fun group, so join us!
The cost is $3 each class, pay as you go. All monies are donated back to the TCCA!
A new ten week session will start on Monday, March 31 at the Tidnish Crossroads Community Centre from 7-8pm and will continue for ten sessions.
Sherry Smith and I will continue to take turns leading the sessions and covering for each other when the other is away.
As in the past money raised will be split between the Stephen Lewis Foundation to help turn the tide of Aids in Africa (see www.Stephen Lewis foundation.org for more information) and the Tidnish Crossroads Community Association which offers so many wonderful programs in our community.
Suggested donation remains at $40 for all ten sessions and an income tax receipt for the $20 portion that goes to the SLF will be sent out by that organization before year’s end. If $$ are tight please feel free to touch base as you are more than welcome!
These sessions are beginner level and you do not have to have yoga experience to attend. To quote Krishnamacharya, often known as the father of modern yoga, “if you can breathe, you can do yoga”. So just come, do what you can, use a chair if you need to and breathe through the rest! These sessions are about caring for yourself through yoga and relaxation.

Our meetings on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm at the Tidnish Crossroads Community Center FOCUS on promoting healthy living by recognizing achievement, provide weekly weigh in for accountability, and offer encouraging words and support as you make beneficial food choices and increase your fitness level. We believe this will result in successful living
