Yoga update from Donna
- Given that the July 1 celebrations are on a Monday this year we will not be offering a session that Monday but will add an extra one to the end, August 6.
- For our July 8 session Sherry has asked that you bring a yoga strap to use around your feet.
- BC (before COVID) people who just wanted to drop in for a session could do so but once the pandemic hit we stopped this practice. We know COVID is still with us but according to some health experts it’s transitioning from pandemic to endemic, meaning it will always be with us like the flue. So once again we’ve decided to welcome drop-ins but as always it is up to each of us to protect each other by staying home if we’re not feeling well and have what we consider to be COVID symptoms.
- The suggested drop-in donation is $5/session so for those of you who have been asked about ‘dropping-in’ by family/friends/individuals who would like to, please let them know.
- For those of you who are new to this round of sessions please send me your mailing address which I need to send to the Stephen Lewis Foundation so that you will receive your income tax receipt for the $20 portion of your donation.
- Last, but not least, please let me know via email on Mondays if you need a ride from this side of the bridge so I can make arrangements
Fathers' Day Breakfast - Update from Blair Andres
On behalf of the TCCA I would like to thank everyone who supported the Father’s Day Breakfast we served about 165 people who were very generous with their good will offerings. Dave Trenholm was the winner of the jug of maple syrup generously donated by Colleen and Bill Dowe ticket sales generated $200 for the association.
Thank you to the generous sponsors who support the breakfast
Nic Nat Farms Peter and Marsha Greeno and family bacon; Thompson Maple Bud Stephen and Robyn Thompson and family maple syrup; Maritime Pride Eggs;
Marcella; myself; and the Association would like to especially thank the 18 volunteers working together who donated their time for a variety of activities, food prep, serving, cleanup and all the activities that go along with an event like this. Without the dedication of these community minded people an event like this would not happen.
Thank you very much!!

About Us
The TCCA is a non-profit charitable community association established in 1983 to promote the physical and social well-being of residents in the Tidnish area.
We support a number of social, cultural, sporting, and recreational groups. We also have facilities available for use by area residents including the Rodney Estabrook ball field, a children’s playground, a canteen, and the Tidnish Community Centre located at 4358 Highway 366 in Tidnish – near ‘the crossroads’.
Regular activities at the Centre include: exercise classes, yoga, music nights, darts, cribbage, Tai Chi and youth programs. The Tidnish Festival is held each summer; activities include a bake sale, ball games, washer toss, a pork chop barbecue dinner, children’s games, music by local groups, and a Saturday night dance.
