10 week sesssion of Relaxation using Yoga Poses starts August 14
A ten week session of Relaxation Using Yoga Poses will start on Monday, August 14, at the Tidnish Crossroads Community Centre from 7-8pm and will continue for ten weeks.
Given that the Nova Scotia health department has ended the COVID-19 Health Protection Act, masks will no longer be mandatory but encouraged if you feel you are vulnerable to the virus or have any concerns in this area.
Sherry and I will continue to take turns leading the sessions and covering for each other when the other is away. As in the past, money raised will be split between the Stephen Lewis Foundation to help turn the tide of Aids in Africa (see www.stephenlewisfoundation.org for more information) and the Tidnish Crossroads Community Association which offers so many wonderful programs in our community.
Suggested donation continues to be $40 for all ten sessions and an income tax receipt for the $20 portion that goes to the SLF will be sent out by that foundation before year’s end.
These sessions are beginner level and you do not have to have yoga experience to attend.
To quote Krishnamacharya, often known as the father of modern yoga, “if you can breathe, you can do yoga”. So just come, do what you can, use a chair if you need to and breathe through the rest! These sessions are about caring for yourself through relaxation and yoga.
PLEASE NOTE: there are just a couple of spots left so please email me, fitzmurd@gmail.com, if you have any questions or want to join.
Thanks and Namaste, Donna

I received four pictures from Graham Jones Photography of the Northern Lights at Northport looking North. The sea views are looking across the Shinimicas River estuary and Cold Spring Head direction. The houses are on the bluff in the Hillwinds area.
